Job Opportunity: Research Analyst

Insight Threat Intelligence is looking for a research analyst to join our team on a part-time (contract) basis. The research analyst will be responsible for research using open sources (traditional media & social media, academic articles, blogs, etc) on illicit financing, terrorism, espionage, and intelligence analysis. 

Insight Threat Intelligence is a consulting company specializing in providing research and analysis on issues related to national and international security. Our clients include the private and public sectors, as well as international and multilateral organizations. Given the nature of the work we conduct, a high level of discretion is required. A strict confidentiality agreement will be enforced. 

What we’re looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent time management skills who is interested in our areas of expertise to assist with research on a variety of subjects. All candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in a subject relevant to Insight’s areas of expertise (for example, political science, history, economics, etc). Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees, certificates, and other relevant training. 

The language of work is English, and capabilities in other languages would be an asset. Please clearly state your working level in any other language. 

The preferred candidate will have excellent writing and research, time management, and communication skills.  Other skills or experience that are of interest include: 

Video editing 

Graphic design

Podcasting / social media experience

What we can offer

A flexible schedule and work location of 10-15 hours of work per month until December 2018. Dynamic responsibilities that can be tailored to your existing skills / experience, or interests. Our rate of pay for the research analyst position is between CA$25 and $30 per hour depending on skills and qualifications.
